About the Role
As Practice Manager, you will take a leading role in the day-to-day operations of our busy GP practice, working closely with our dedicated clinical partners and talented administrative and nursing teams. This role offers the autonomy to shape the practice management function while enjoying the full support of an engaged partnership.
Our Practice at a Glance
Location: Port View Surgery, Saltash, Cornwall – close to our outstanding Cornish beaches and countryside
Patient Base: a growing list of 7,000 patients with a diverse range of needs
Team: Experienced and dedicated administrative and nursing staff, supported by long-standing GP Partners
Training Practice: Active involvement in GP VTS training
Strong local links: Supportive PCN and collaborative relationships with local practices
What We Offer
Structured Work Pattern: 5 days a week (Monday–Friday)
Hours: 37 hours per week (flexible working considered)
Annual Leave: 6 weeks + Bank Holidays
Competitive Salary: Based on experience and local benchmarks

Who We’re Looking For
The ideal candidate will:
Have proven experience in primary care management (essential)
Demonstrate strong leadership and people management skills
Be confident in financial management, including accounts, budgeting, and forecasting
Possess expertise in CQC, governance, and contract compliance
Be able to maximise income without compromising quality of care
Exhibit excellent interpersonal, organisational, and problem-solving abilities
Thrive in a collaborative environment, working closely with stakeholders and PCN partners

Our patient advisors play a key role in ensuring patients are signposted to the most appropriate clinician to enable us to provide an effective service to our 7000+ patients and we are now looking for a customer focused, enthusiastic individual to become part of our team.
What you will need:
- Customer service experience
- Previous experience in General Practice is desirable
- Excellent communication skills
- Strong administrative skills
- Willingness to play your part in a close knit, hardworking team
What we are offering:
- 24 hours a week, to be worked over Tuesday, Thursday and Friday (exact hours to be confirmed)
- £12.21 per hour
