We are now offering FREE NHS HEALTH CHECKS to all patients between the ages of 40-74, who do not have any long term health conditions.  Please contact us if you meet those criteria and ask to book in for a NHS Health check.


We are now using a TXT message reminder service and so you may be asked to provide your mobile number when booking an appointment, if we do not already have it.  If you do not wish to receive these reminders - please just let us know.



Practice Nurses

There are three Practice Nurses who are available by appointment. They can can help you with:

  • Travel advice and immunisations
  • Well Man/Women Checks
  • Removal of stitches
  • Reviews of contraception and HRT
  • Hypertension reviews
  • Dressings
  • Children’s immunisations 
  • Diabetic care review
  • Heart disease review
  • Asthma and Chronic obstructive pulmonary disease review
  • Cervical smears
  • Ear syringing
  • Minor ailments

All of the nurses are able to give advice about all aspects of family planning.

Nurses are happy to give telephone advice, if you give the receptionist your contact number the nurse will phone you back when she is not seeing patients. It may be more convenient for you to ring NHS111 Direct which is open 24 hours a day by dialling 111.


Each morning the phlebotomist takes blood tests requested by the doctor or hospital. Appointments can be made from 08.30-12.30pm by contacting the receptionist.
