Urgent appointments
To request an urgent appointment for today or tomorrow (Monday to Friday) during opening times:
- phone us on 01752 840115 at 8:30am
Routine appointments
It is possible to book a GP appointment up to 2 weeks in advance. To enable us to prioritise those with the most urgent need we ask that you call us after 11am to request a routine appointment.
To request a routine appointment during opening times:
- phone us on 01752 840115
- use your NHS account (through the NHS website or NHS App) to book an appointment, screening test or vaccination
Online consultations
It is also possible to ask the doctor or consult with us online via Accurx (only available from 7am to 6:30pm, Monday to Friday) or LIVI. You will get a response within 2 working days.
eConsults will be suspended each day once we have reached capacity, and will reopen again the next day at 7am.
Extended hours for pre-booked appointments
Extended hours are for pre-booked appointments only. These are on:
- Mondays and Tuesdays
Staff availability
Our doctors like to look after their own patients, to give continuity of care. Should the doctor you wish to see be fully booked or on holiday the receptionist will offer you an appointment with another doctor. The practice nurses are available each day and the phlebotomists are available each morning.
Practice nurses also run dedicated health promotion clinics please ask the receptionist for an appointment.
Cancelling or changing an appointment
If you no longer need an appointment or cannot make it, please cancel as soon as possible, so that we can pass these appointments on to patients who need them.
To cancel your appointment:
- use your NHS account (through the NHS website or NHS App)
- phone us on 01752 840115 during opening times
If you need help when we are closed
If you need medical help now, use NHS 111 online or call 111.
NHS 111 online is for people aged 5 and over. You will need to phone 111 if you need help for a child under 5.
Call 999 in a medical or mental health emergency. This is when someone is seriously ill or injured and their life is at risk.
If you need help with your appointment
Please tell us:
- if there’s a specific doctor, nurse or other health professional you would prefer to respond
- if you would prefer to consult with the doctor or nurse by phone, face-to-face, by video call or by text
- if you need an interpreter
- if you have any other access or communication needs
Home visits
Please try to phone reception before 10am if you require a home visit.
A doctor may phone you back as it may be that your problem can be dealt with by telephone advice. Home visits are only available for patients who are housebound because of illness or disability.
Please remember that several patients can be seen in the practice in the time that it takes to make one home visit. There are also better facilities for examining and treating patients at the surgeries.
